Bioinformatics Analyst
About the Job
Growing biotechnology company seeks enthusiastic individual to assist in developing an enabling and
disruptive gene expression technology.
Qualifications:
*** Must be proficient in R with a strong preference for candidates that have experience with the
Shiny package and data visualization.
*** Experience with Bioconductor packages preferred.
*** Must be comfortable working in a UNIX environment and shell scripting.
*** Experience with a scripting language Python/Perl preferred.
*** Must be able to analyze Next Generation Sequencing NGS.
*** Experience analyzing NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data with a preference for candidates
that have experience building and running data analysis pipelines.
*** Knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques.
*** Familiarity with sequence alignment software and algorithms.
*** Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computational Biology,
Genetics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.
-Familiarity with Web Development (How Front-End/Back-end work and communicate)
-Experience with algorithm implementation, statistical programming and data manipulation
-Experience with web administration, system administration, GoDaddy, SSL certificates,
apache2/nginx.
-Experience with AWS EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
-Experience with Bash.
-Knowledgeable of High-performance computing concepts (multi-threading, parallelism, caching
