Title: Content Development Intern
Location: Cambridge, MA (must be able to spend 10+ hours/week in the office)
Duration: Minimum of 8 weeks; potential for full-time hire

Compensation: $20/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Company: DataCamp is a fast-growing Boston-based edtech startup that provides online, interactive data science courses to ~250K users worldwide. Our users receive targeted and immediate feedback as they progress through video lessons and interactive coding challenges in R and Python. To date, our users–70% of which are working professionals–have completed over 9 million exercises on the platform. Our hands-on courses are developed in partnership with best-in-class instructors from academic institutions like Princeton, Harvard, and Duke and companies like Microsoft and RStudio.
Description: The primary role of the Content Development Intern is to assist in the planning, development, and maintenance of new DataCamp courses.
Responsibilities:
- Help to identify gaps in the current curriculum
- Play an active role in the development of new courses
- Work with instructors to make content interactive
- Make data-driven suggestions for course improvements based on user feedback and performance data
Desired skills:
- Strong command of American English, both written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Experience with the R programming language
- Understanding of Git and GitHub for version control (or willingness to learn)
