Title: Content Development Intern
Location: Cambridge, MA
Duration: Minimum of 4 weeks; potential for full-time hire
Start date: ASAP
Compensation: $15/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Description: DataCamp is a fast-growing Boston-based edtech startup that provides online, interactive courses in R programming and data science to ~250K users worldwide. The purpose of the Content Development Intern role is twofold:
- Review and improve the quality of all existing DataCamp courses
- Assist in the planning, development, and curation of new courses
The first task is a priority and will take a minimum of 4 weeks to complete. The second task is an ongoing concern and may lead to a full-time position based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Review all new and existing courses
- Repair typos and improve language
- Flag serious errors and omissions for review by content development team
- Recommend pedagogical improvements
- Play an active role in the development of new courses
Desired skills:
- Strong command of American English, both written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Experience with the R programming language
- Understanding of Git for version control (or willingness to learn)
