Customer Success Representative
RStudio creates great software that helps people understand data and make better decisions in real world applications. Our core is an open source data science toolchain, and we aim to make it available to everyone, regardless of their economic means.
The goal of our customer success team is to ensure that RStudio’s customers are wildly successful with our products. To accomplish this, the team provides resources, education, and advice to maximize adoption of RStudio products. On any given day, customer success team members are leading technical webinars, spending time with our customers, and identifying innovative ways to engage and add value in end-users environments.
As we grow, we are looking to add another member to this talented and dedicated team. In this unique role, you will be responsible for growing revenue by educating customers about the array of benefits from our toolchain, many of which are new, evolving, and not necessarily well-known. As a trusted and responsive partner, you will help customers maximize the impact of their data science initiatives through the adoption, continuation, and expansion of RStudio products. At the same time, you will share valuable customer and end-user insights with engineering and data science colleagues to further evolve RStudio products and packages.
About you:
- You thrive on building trusted relationships and a deep understanding of your customers’ needs. You enjoy sharing insights and resources to help your customers get the greatest possible value from our products.
- You have prior experience in sales, consulting, or training fields, and feel at home in roles where you can offer value as both a teacher and a problem-solver.
- You are keenly interested in data science and statistics, and have some direct experience in these areas. While a background in R programming is ideal, you might also have worked in other data science programming environments such as Python, SAS, or SPSS.
- You are internally driven by curiosity and continuous learning. You have proven that you can be entrusted with big decisions, and strive to bring understanding and empathy to the entire team.
- You are humble, and play well with other people. You thrive in team settings, and exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- You can function effectively in a distributed team. This means you are reliable, you know when to ask for help, you invest in strong relationships with your colleagues, and you know yourself well enough to be accountable for your own self management.

We hope to learn from you, and we promise you will also deepen your skills, influence and leadership as a result of working at RStudio.
