Part-Time IDP, Academic Associate/ Faculty Associate for Program Evaluation and Data Analytics
Job Description
Academic Associate:
The Program Evaluation and Data Analytics degree program in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University is seeking part-time, non-tenure track Academic Associates for the 2021-2022 year to facilitate graduate-level courses in program evaluation and data analytics as part of a new online master’s degree in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics.
The role requires someone that will assist a lead instructor in delivering online lectures, administering assignments and exams, evaluating and grading student work, and holding virtual office hours to assist students. Academic Associate positions are hired on a one-semester basis, renewable contract with loads that do not to exceed .40 FTE (equivalent to two 3-credit classes per semester). The position is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure eligibility. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Academic Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience with R or a related language (Python, SAS, Stata, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated evidence of higher education and/or online teaching experience.
- Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success as well as working with broadly diverse student populations.
- Proficiency with GitHub and Markdown.
- Evidence of collaboration skills.
- Experience with technology/course management systems.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

- Terminal degree OR a Master’s degree plus five years of professional experience in data analytics, public policy, evaluation, research, education, or evidence-based management roles.
- Experience with R or a related language (Python, SAS, Stata, etc.).
