Full-Time R Adoption Lead

Position Summary:

IQVIA has built a sponsor-dedicated, statistical programming team for a Biopharma client. We are expanding this team by hiring a Lead for R Programming efforts. Help with the long-term initiative of growing the R ecosystem for our client. R package development is an important skill for this role. Assist our client to be less reliant on SAS, and adopt the use of R for production and validation efforts of clinical datasets.

  • Conduct analysis of clinical trial data using R – combine, manipulate, transform and summarize data.
  • Create and validate R packages.
  • Create process around package development and validation.
  • Create and/or validate clinical study outputs and requirements consistent with data definitions, specifications and relevant study documentation (e.g. protocol, SAP, aCRF).
  • Identifies problems and develops tools that increase the efficiency and capacity of the Statistical Programming group.
  • Help establish the standards to generate clinical deliverable using R and train team members in R functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Stats, Computer Science, or Health Sciences is preferred.
  • Experience with creation of clinical trial analysis (ADaM, TFLs) using R.
  • Experience with various R packages/tools such as tidyverse (dplyr,ggplot2, haven, lubridate, etc.), tplyr, Shiny, Pharmaverse Admiral, metacore, metatools, rmarkdown, flextable.
  • R package development experience is required.
  • Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM, and ADaM) is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the tidyverse style guide.
  • SAS programming and R Shiny experience is preferred.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for internal stakeholders or clients.
  • Capable of implementing more advanced modeling and statistical procedures as requested by study team.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial data and extremely hands on in data manipulations, analysis, and reporting/modeling of analysis results. Including handling of data issues and uncleaned data.
  • Familiar with git and GitHub basic workflow.
  • Professional attitude, self-motivated, logical thinking
  • Ability to problem solve and develop innovative approaches along with a drive to learn and master new techniques and technologies.
