R + Javascript Full Stack Developer
This is a full-time position working in the Intelligent Health Lab at the Boston Children’s Hospital Informatics Program (http://chip.org/IHLab), and a great opportunity for a talented developer with strong Javascript skills and interest in developing dynamic web applications for R, such as Shiny. The successful candidate will be able to lead, innovate, and contribute to our team’s full-stack development efforts in clinical research informatics, focusing on open-source software products that provide advanced data collection, access to, and analytics on national-scale electronic health data.

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess experience and expertise at or beyond a mid-level position (typically 2 or more years), with the following skillsets:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred; equivalent industry experience may be acceptable
- In-depth proficiency with HTML5, CSS, jquery and modern web UI frameworks such as AngularJS, BackboneJS, and EmberJS
- In-depth experience with server-side, script-based frameworks like Node.js
- Proven track record in building and testing component-based, client-side JS and HTML5 user interfaces for data-driven applications
- Full stack, working knowledge of best-practices Java development, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience with RESTful web services development
- Ability to develop in mobile frameworks including iOS
- Strong documentation skills
- Desire to support open-source products and developer communities
