Research Analyst

The National Network for Safe Communities, a project of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, supports cities nationwide to implement proven strategies to reduce violence and improve public safety minimize arrest and incarceration, strengthen communities, and improve relationships between law enforcement and the communities it serves.

The National Network is seeking a full-time research analyst to join the National Network’s Strategic Operations and Policy team and support the implementation of the National Network’s crime reduction strategies.

The research analyst will participate in field research exercises and conduct intensive data analysis to inform the implementation of the National Network’s crime reduction strategies in our partner jurisdictions. The research analyst will be responsible for generating regular data reports, both for the National Network’s partner jurisdictions and for use by the strategic operations and policy team, in order to illuminate crime trends and support innovation to core strategies. In addition, the research analyst will work with the National Network’s partner jurisdictions to develop data management and analysis protocols that support the ongoing implementation of the National Network’s crime reduction strategies.  To that end, the Network is seeking someone experienced with social network analysis and geo-spatial analysis.  As a member of the technical assistance team, the research analyst will report to the Director of Strategic Operations and Policy.
