Key Responsibilities
- Review plant data sets collected by our plant monitoring equipment
- Identify key characteristics
- Develop programs/algorithms which can detect these traits in future measurements (preferably in R)Break them down into user-friendly irrigation instructions
- Comply with Yara software engineering standards and procedures
- Solid understanding of Bayesian techniques, sufficient to lead work in this area
- Understanding of machine learning principles
Profile
- Master/Diploma/Bachelor or higher degree with a background in any scientific or numerical subject
- Scientific data evaluation & model development skills
- Professional programming skills in R, Python, MATLab, or a similar language
- History of successful self-reliant work (i.e., completed work project or thesis)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams
- Consciousness for efficient, market-driven development
- English language proficiency
Desirable Skills
- Any experience in machine learning would be of great interest
- Knowledge of current software engineering processes (e.g., SCRUM, version control in GIT)
- Experience in utilizing SQL databases
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform
