The Human Immune Monitoring Core (HIMC) at Mount Sinai combines cutting-edge technology platforms and scientific expertise to provide comprehensive immune monitoring services for clinical and translational studies. Our assays generate complex experimental data sets, and the HIMC is unique in developing and providing a suite of analytics services that rely on state-of-the-art software. We are expanding and have an immediate opening for a Software Engineer with an emphasis on Data Science.
The candidate will collaborate with a team of scientists and technicians on projects related to computational biology, including developing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining software applications that will be used both internally and by outside clients. Project work will include, among others, implementation of statistical and machine learning methods, development of data visualization tools, and automation of analysis pipelines. All of the above will have a strong emphasis on delivering results to a non-technical audience.
