The person in this role will carry out statistical analyses to produce publishable studies demonstrating clinical outcomes for testing.
- Perform analysis of clinical studies and provide detailed statistical reports. Study designs include intervention, case/control, and longitudinal.
- Patient Outcome Analysis – assist with study design, power calculations and outcomes analysis of Boston Heart patient population.
- Analyze anonymized patient records and lab data to determine associations between biomarker measurements and patient outcomes using appropriate statistical methods
- Assist lab operations with assay validation and QA support
- Create data files for R&D department and provide detailed statistical analysis.
- Create intuitive and compelling data visualizations for Health Care Practitioners.
- Write papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree and other advanced study in statistics, applied mathematics or bioinformatics
- Strong advanced statistical skills, with emphasis on ANOVA and design of experiments
- Experience with unsupervised analysis: clustering or principal components analysis
- Fundamental understanding of statistical models: general linear models, mixed effects models, Cox proportional hazard models, and classification models (e.g. naive Bayes, random forest)
- Experience in study design suitable for publication
- Ability to analyze large data sets
- Computational skills appropriate to the study designs anticipated
- Ability to perform longitudinal analysis
- High proficiency in at least one statistical analysis software environment such as SAS, SPSS, or R (preferred).
